Request for Subconsultants Proposals and Subcontractors Bids
Design-Build RFP for Downtown-Natomas-Airport (DNA) Minimum Operable Segment (MOS 1) for Downtown-Natomas-Airport (DNA) Rail Corridor Project
Sacramento Regional Transit District (RT), has pre-qualified Design-Build Entities for design-build of DNA MOS 1 project. The four Pre-Qualified Design-Build Entities are Granite Construction, Kiewit, Stacy & Witbeck, Inc., and Shimmick Construction. Only these four pre-qualified firms are eligible to submit proposals as Prime Design-Build Entities for the project. This serves as notice that this project will provide sub-consulting and subcontracting opportunities. Firms interested in seeking sub-consulting and subcontracting opportunities on this project should contact the pre-qualified Design-Build Entities directly. This project consists of design work and construction work including but not limited to excavation, trackwork and track relocation, drainage facilities, underground conduit, and utility relocations, catenary pole foundation, overhead contact system, traction power cable system, traction power substation, block signaling, TWC equipment, intersection modifications, highway grade crossing and warning system, site work, landscaping, traffic signaling, lighting, paving and passenger station platforms and amenities. Subconsultants proposals and subcontractors bids are to be submitted to the Pre-Qualified Design-Build Entities and not to RT.

This is a public works project for which state and federal general prevailing wages apply. A copy of the general prevailing wages can be obtained from the four Pre-Qualified Design-Build Entities listed above. Copies of the prevailing rate of per diem wages are also on file at RT’s offices at 2811 O Street, Sacramento, CA 95816, which shall be made available to any interested party on request.
RT has not set any DBE or SBE goals for this project, however, DBE’s and SBE’s are encouraged to submit proposals and bids to the four Pre-Qualified Design-Build Entities.
Proposals from the four Pre-Qualified Design-Build Entities are due to RT no later than 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 1400 29th Street, Sacramento, CA 95816.
