NOTICE OF INVITATION FOR BIDS
Sacramento Regional Transit District announces that it will seek bids for the work entitled:
ELEVATOR MAINTENANCE & REPAIR SERVICES- 2010
Sealed bids for Elevator Maintenance & Repair Services - 2010 must be received by Doug Vestal, Procurement Analyst II, SACRAMENTO REGIONAL TRANSIT DISTRICT (RT), either by mail at Post Office Box 2110, Sacramento, California 95812-2110, or by personal delivery at 1400 29th Street, Sacramento, California, 95816 no later than 2:00 p.m., Pacific Local Time, Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read in RT’s Auditorium, 1400 29th Street, Sacramento, CA 95816.
General work description: Monthly preventive maintenance services, trouble callbacks, and minor repair services for up to 8 hydroelectric elevators and 1 dumbwaiter elevator; quarterly preventive maintenance services, trouble callbacks, and minor repair services for up to three wheelchair lifts at light rail stations; and scheduled elevator repairs by Work Order. The term of this Contract will be for 3 years.
RT hereby notifies all bidders it will affirmatively ensure that, in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this solicitation, all contractors will be afforded full opportunity to submit a bid in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against based on race, color, creed, sex, disability, age, or national origin in consideration for an award.
The work that is the subject of this bid is a public work within the meaning of Chapter 1 (beginning with Section 1720) of Part 7 of Division 2 of the California Labor Code to which Section 1771 (Payment of Prevailing Wages) applies.
A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 5, 2009, at 1:00 p.m., 2811 “O” Street, Sacramento, CA 95816. This meeting is to respond to questions regarding the Bid Documents.
