NOTICE OF INVITATION TO BID
Sacramento Regional Transit District announces that it will seek bids for the work entitled:
WEED ABATEMENT SERVICES
Sealed bids for Weed Abatement Services must be received by Jennifer Kiamco, Procurement Analyst I, either by mail at Sacramento Regional Transit District (RT), P.O. Box 2110, Sacramento, CA 95812-2110, or by personal delivery at 2816 N Street, Sacramento, CA 95816, on Monday, July 9, 2012 by 1:00 p.m. Pacific Local Time. Bids will be publicly opened and read on July 9, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Engineering Conference Room, 2811 “O” Street, Sacramento, CA 95816.
General work description: Weed abatement services for 3 years along RT’s Light Rail system right-of-way and adjacent property (“rights-of-way”).
It is RT’s policy that Small Business Enterprises (“SBEs”) (defined as a business that has been certified as a small business by the California Department of General Services or any other public agency that certifies small businesses under applicable laws), will have the maximum opportunity to participate in the performance of this Contract
To further that policy, RT will provide a 5% price preference to Bidders meeting the SBE participation goal set for this Contract.
RT hereby notifies all bidders it will affirmatively ensure that, in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this solicitation, all contractors will be afforded full opportunity to submit a bid in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, creed, sex, disability, age, or national origin in consideration for an award.
A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 18, 2012 at 1:30 p.m., at RT’s Auditorium, 1400 29th Street, Sacramento, CA 95816. This meeting is to respond to questions on the Bid Documents.
