Trane Chiller On-Call Repair and Preventive Maintenance

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Sacramento Regional Transit District (RT) is soliciting bids for Trane Chiller On-Call Repair and Preventive Maintenance, which consists of: providing a comprehensive quarterly and annual preventive maintenance program for existing Trane Water Cooled Chiller and related equipment (cooling tower, chilled water pumps and condenser water pumps) located at 1400 29th Street; on-call repairs to the chiller, related equipment and additional water treatment equipment; furnishing and installing additional water treatment equipment; and providing monthly service and testing of the additional water treatment equipment.

It is RT’s policy that Small Business Enterprises (“SBEs”) (defined as a business that has been certified as a small business by the California Department of General Services or any other public agency that certifies small businesses under applicable laws), will have the maximum opportunity to participate in the performance of this Contract. No subcontracting opportunities have been identified for this project, Therefore, no SBE goal has been established for this project. However, Bidders must ensure that SBEs have the opportunity to participate in the performance of this contract and must take all necessary and reasonable steps to obtain SBE participation.
This is a preventive maintenance project financed in part with federal funds. Contractor must comply with all EEO laws and regulations.
The work that is the subject of this bid is a public work within the meaning of Chapter 1 (beginning with Section 1720) of Part 7 of Division 2 of the California Labor Code to which Section 1771 (Payment of Prevailing Wages) applies.
RT hereby notifies all bidders it will affirmatively ensure that, in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this solicitation, all contractors will be afforded full opportunity to submit a bid in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against based on race, color, creed, sex, disability, age, or national origin in consideration for an award.
Sealed bids must be received by the Procurement Services Office at 2816 N Street, Sacramento CA by 2:00 p.m. Pacific Local Time, Thursday, May 30, 2013. Bids will be publicly opened on the same date at 2:00 p.m. in the conference room at said address.
