NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Sacramento Regional Transit District (RT) is soliciting bids for 1225 R Street Interior Remodel, which the Work required by this Contract consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, inspection and testing, and incidentals, and for doing all Work involved in constructing the improvements at 1225 R Street, complete in place. The foregoing includes, without limitations, mobilization, general conditions, maintaining existing RT operations, coordination with other contractors and with Owner-furnished materials, selective demolition, wall and ceiling framing and finishing, architectural wood casework, sealants and joint protection, clad wood doors, door frames, door hardware, window frames and glazing, acoustical panel ceilings, resilient flooring and wall base, carpeting, painting, signage, corner guards, toilet accessories, plumbing piping and fixtures, HVAC ducts, thermostat, HVAC system balancing, electrical and communications conduits, boxes, conductors and cabling, lighting and lighting controls, door access controls, security cameras, modifications to existing fire alarm system, and all ancillary improvements.

All bidders will be required to certify that they are not on the Comptroller General's list of ineligible contractors. Contractor will be required to comply with all EEO laws and regulations.
It is RT’s policy that Small Business Enterprises (“SBEs”) (defined as a business that has been certified as a small business by the California Department of General Services or any other public agency that certifies small businesses under applicable laws), will have the maximum opportunity to participate in the performance of this Contract. To further that policy, RT will provide a 5% price preference to Bidders meeting the 25% SBE participation goal set for this Contract. Prospective Bidders are encouraged to call RT’s Manager, Contracts and DBE at (916) 556-0151 for assistance in identifying SBEs available for solicitation to participate on this project.
This is a public works project for which state general prevailing wages apply. A copy of applicable general prevailing wage rates are included in the bid document. Payment and Performance bonds will be required in the amounts set forth in the specifications. Contractor license classification at the time of bid must be Class A or Class B.
RT hereby notifies all bidders it will affirmatively ensure that, in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this solicitation, all contractors will be afforded full opportunity to submit a bid in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against based on race, color, creed, sex, disability, age, or national origin in consideration for an award.
Sealed bids must be received by the Procurement Services at 2811 O Street, Sacramento, CA 95816 by 2:00 p.m. Pacific Local Time, Friday, March 31, 2017. Bids will be publicly opened on the same date at approximately 2:00 p.m. in the east conference room at said address.
