NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) is soliciting proposals and qualification statements from contractors with outstanding qualifications, experience and knowledge to provide an Automatic Passenger Counter (APC) System for its fleet of 40 CAF Light Rail Vehicles, with options for its remaining fleet of 34 Siemens and 21 UTDC Light Rail Vehicles

This publication (information) is available in accessible formats. Please contact 916/556-0152 or TDD 483-HEAR (4327) to request an accessible format. An optional site visit and pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 5, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Metro Facility Conference Room at 2700 Academy Way, Sacramento, CA 95816. Prospective proposers are expected to register by email to rcoombs@sacrt.com no later than: 12:00 p.m., Tuesday,April 3, 2018 to attend the site visit. Proposers who choose not to attend this visit will not be precluded from submitting a proposal for this project. The purpose of this site visit is to give prospective proposers the opportunity to familiarize themselves with vehicle layouts and configuration. Light Rail Vehicle schematic drawings will be made available. The availability of fleet is limited therefore interested proposers are encouraged to attend. This is an equipment design and install project financed by Federal and State funds. SacRT intends to award using a best value approach to a firm that provides an APC System that is most advantageous to SacRT. Contractor must comply with all Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws and regulations.

No DBE or SBE goal has been established for this Contract. Nonetheless, prospective Bidders are encouraged to call SacRT’s Manager, Contracts and DBE at (916) 556-0151 for assistance in identifying DBEs or SBEs available for solicitation to participate on this Contract.

SacRT hereby notifies all bidders it will affirmatively ensure that, in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this solicitation, all contractors will be afforded full opportunity to submit a proposal in response to this Request for Proposals (“RFP”)and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religious creed, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, military or veteran status, marital status, disability, medical condition, age, national origin, or ancestry in consideration for an award.

Sealed proposals will be accepted only if received in SacRT's Procurement Services office at 2816 N Street, Sacramento, CA 95816 by Monday ,June 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., Pacific Local Time. Any Proposal received after this deadline will be returned unopened and will be deemed non-responsive.
