RT to Operate Sunday/Holiday Schedule in Observance of Christmas Day and New Year's Day - Extended Evening Light Rail Service on New Year’s Eve

In observance of the Christmas Day and New Year’s Day holidays, the Sacramento Regional Transit District (RT) will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Thursday, December 25, 2014, and Thursday, January 1, 2015.
In addition, RT encourages New Year’s Eve celebrants to take transit. RT will offer extended light rail service from downtown Sacramento on the Blue Line and Gold Line past regular operating hours on Wednesday, December 31:
Service to Meadowview (Blue Line):
Light rail service to Meadowview will operate on a regular schedule with the last train arriving at the Meadowview Station at 11:54 p.m. RT will operate two supplemental trips on New Year’s Eve that will depart the St. Rose of Lima Park (7th & K) Station at 12:30 a.m. and 12:45 a.m. arriving at the Meadowview Station at 12:54 a.m. and 1:09 a.m.
Service to Watt/I-80 (Blue Line):
Light rail service to Watt/I-80 will operate on a regular schedule with the last train arriving at the Watt/I-80 Station at 12:47 a.m. RT will operate two supplemental trips on New Year’s Eve that will depart the 8th & K Station at 12:30 a.m. and 12:45 a.m. arriving at the Watt/I-80 Station at 12:54 a.m. and 1:09 a.m.
Service to Sunrise/Historic Folsom (Gold Line):
Light rail service to Sunrise will operate on a regular schedule with the last train arriving at the Sunrise Station at 11:39 p.m. RT will operate two supplemental trips on New Year’s Eve that will depart the St. Rose of Lima Park (7th & K) Station at 12:30 a.m. and 12:45 a.m. arriving at the Sunrise Station at 1:12 a.m. and 1:27 a.m.
Light rail service to Folsom will operate on a regular schedule with the last train arriving at the Historic Folsom Station at 7:22 p.m. RT will operate two supplemental trips on New Year’s Eve that will depart the St. Rose of Lima Park (7th & K) Station at 12:30 a.m. and 12:45 a.m. arriving at the Historic Folsom Station at 1:25 a.m. and 1:40 a.m.
All other buses and trains will operate on a regular schedule. Passengers can park at any of RT’s 19 park-and-ride lots.
RT’s administrative offices at 1400 29th Street, Call Center, and Customer Service and Sales Center at 1225 R Street will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
