RT to Operate Extended Light Rail Service on New Year's Eve - Sunday/Holiday Schedule on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day

The Sacramento Regional Transit District (RT) encourages New Year’s Eve celebrants to take transit. RT will offer extended light rail service from downtown Sacramento on the Blue Line and Gold Line past regular operating hours on Thursday, December 31, 2015.
Service to Cosumnes River College (Blue Line): Light rail service south to Cosumnes River College will operate on a regular schedule with the last train departing the St. Rose of Lima Park (7th & K) Station at 11:15 p.m. arriving at the Cosumnes River College Station at 11:51 p.m. RT will operate two supplemental trips on New Year’s Eve that will depart the St. Rose of Lima Park (7th & K) Station at 12:30 a.m. and 12:45 a.m. arriving at the Cosumnes River College Station at 1:06 a.m. and 1:21 a.m.
Service to Watt/I-80 (Blue Line): Light rail service north to Watt/I-80 will operate on a regular schedule with the last train departing the St. Rose of Lima Park (9th & K) Station at 12:32 a.m. arriving at the Watt/I-80 Station at 12:59 a.m. RT will operate one supplemental trip on New Year’s Eve that will depart the St. Rose of Lima Park (9th & K) Station at 12:45 a.m. arriving at the Watt/I-80 Station at 1:12 a.m.
Service to Sunrise/Historic Folsom (Gold Line): Light rail service east to Sunrise will operate on a regular schedule with the last train departing the St. Rose of Lima Park (7th & K) Station at 10:53 p.m. arriving at the Sunrise Station at 11:35 p.m. RT will operate two supplemental trips on New Year’s Eve that will depart the St. Rose of Lima Park (7th & K) Station at 12:30 a.m. and 12:45 a.m. arriving at the Sunrise Station at 1:13 a.m. and 1:28 a.m.
Light rail service east to Folsom will operate on a regular schedule with the last train departing the St. Rose of Lima Park (7th & K) Station at 6:23 p.m. arriving at the Historic Folsom Station at 7:18 p.m. RT will operate two supplemental trips on New Year’s Eve that will depart the St. Rose of Lima Park (7th & K) Station at 12:30 a.m. and 12:45 a.m. arriving at the Historic Folsom Station at 1:29 a.m. and 1:44 a.m.
All other buses and trains will operate on a regular schedule. Passengers can park at any of RT’s 22 park-and-ride lots.
In observance of the Christmas Day and New Year’s Day holidays, RT will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Friday, December 25, 2015, and Friday, January 1, 2016.
RT’s administrative offices at 1400 29th Street, Call Center, and Customer Service and Sales Center at 1225 R Street will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
