The Sacramento Regional Transit District (RT) is pleased to announce a Public Open House on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the RT Auditorium at 1400 29th Street (at N Street) for the purpose of gathering feedback from the public about the skills and attributes desired in the new RT General Manager/CEO. At this meeting, representatives of KL2 Connects LLC, the executive search firm carrying out this recruitment effort, will be available. Additionally, there will be an online questionnaire that individuals can complete if they are not able to attend the Public Open House. The questionnaire will be available starting Tuesday, February 2 and can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/X525QLM.

The information gathered at the meeting, through the online questionnaire, and in various interviews conducted by KL2 Connects, will be used to help develop a general leadership profile. This profile will be shared with potential job candidates and used by the executive search firm as they seek the most highly qualified candidates for this important position.

Jay Schenirer, Chair of the RT Board of Directors, stated, “The RT Board of Directors is excited to provide this opportunity to the public to provide input on the skills and attributes needed by the next RT General Manager/CEO.”

KL2 Connects plans to advertise the position opening in mid-February. Over the next two months, KL2 Connects will collect resumes, identify strong candidates, and develop a recommended list of candidates for initial interviews by the RT Ad Hoc General Manager Recruitment Committee. Further details of the interview phase of the search process are still being developed.
