Blue Line Service Disruption Due to Police Activity Unrelated to RT - Monday, July 11

Light rail service on the Sacramento Regional Transit District (RT) Blue Line has been disrupted due to police activity unrelated to RT.
The Sacramento Police Department (Sac PD) is currently investigating an officer-involved shooting near Edgewater Road and Del Paso Boulevard.
Sac PD detained a southbound Blue Line train that was at Del Paso Boulevard and Edgewater Road at approximately 9:30 a.m. as part of the investigation. Approximately 40 passengers were onboard and will be interviewed by Sac PD.
A bus bridge – special shuttle buses transporting passengers from station to station – will operate between the Arden/Del Paso and Alkali Flat/La Valentina light rail stations until the Sac PD investigation is completed and trains can resume normal operation.
