Essential Functions
Responsible for the safe, courteous and professional operation of the District's light rail vehicles. Performs all duties required in the normal operation of the District's service such as operating radios and PAS in a manner pertaining to the service or emergency; operating wheelchair equipment, inspect vehicles and switches; provide hand signals or traffic flagging when necessary; observe track, passenger stations and power substations, reporting any unusual conditions; identify and report vehicle operating problems and take appropriate action by opening panels, resetting switches, pushing buttons manually releasing or resetting devices with levers, cranks or handles; complete necessary written re
